Cancellations & Weather Policies
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to departure for check in. Tour bus does not wait!
Inclement weather policy
Full refunds will be granted for tours cancelled due to severe weather. We will not run tours in storms, high winds, or thunder and lightening. Blue Ridge weather is very unpredictable due to mountain micro-climates, so be assured, you will not be charged if Mother Nature tells us the tour is off.
However, it is important to remember that foul weather in your area does not necessarily mean foul weather along the tour route. Please call first if you have concerns about the weather. In some cases, tours may be postponed by no longer than 30 minutes to allow for weather systems to pass. Many magical tours have occurred right after a storm has passed through. So as not to risk depriving you of the best tour of the week, we are likely to wait and see!
If it is inevitable that the tour will be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will notify you as early as possible prior to your tour. We are more than happy to rebook your reservation if space is available to fit your schedule. We will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Cancellation Policy
To ensure a quality experience, tours are offered by reservations only. When you book a tour, we schedule guides and other support staff to be available to make your geology adventure as wonderful as possible. For this reason, we require 48 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. If you fail to meet your appointment, we still incur all the same expenses and may have turned others away. Therefore, those guests who fail to show for a reservation or cancel without proper notice will be charged the full tour price.
Tours may be cancelled if a minimum of six or fewer travelers are reserved for that day. You will be notified of cancellation by 5PM the day prior to your tour and refunded in full. Reservations may be rebooked if space is available to fit your schedule. We will do everything we can to accommodate you!
