What To Bring
Guests should wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Jewelry, cell phones and personal possessions should be stored in your vehicle or left at home. Blue Ridge Geology Tours, LLC is not responsible for personal property lost, damaged, or stolen during the tour. Food and drinks are allowed, but please, No Glass and No Alcohol.
To get the most from your tour, please be sure to pack the following items:
- Sunscreen
- Sun hat
- Sunglasses
- Comfortable shoes
- Jacket (higher elevations get chilly)
- Motion sickness medication (if you are prone to car-sickness)
- A backpack or bag to bring home your treasures
- Poncho for unpredictable showers due to mountain micro-climates
- An adventurous spirit!!!
- Optional: camera, binoculars, notebook
We will provide the following:
- Mining tools
- Mineral collection bags
- Water – for sale in 12 oz bottles
- Ponchos – for sale by tour guide
- Fun and Adventure!!!
